File a Complaint with OSHA

Before you file

If you have been punished or retaliated against for exercising your rights under the OSH Act, you must file a complaint with OSHA within 30 days of the alleged reprisal.

What can I expect?

  • Step 1

Click on the file button below to start.

  • Step 2

By checking the electronic signature box and submitting, this submits a formal complaint and your complaint is assigned to a compliance officer who will conduct an onsite inspection.

  • Step 3

You can also submit an non-formal complaint by calling. In non-formal complaints, the employer will be notified of the allegation and an investigation will begin through OSHA’s phone/fax process.

  • Step 4

We will conduct an investigation and we’ll share our findings with you.
